About: Stow Lake is an adorable little lake nestled inside Golden Gate Park. The lake has beautiful vegetation that evokes the ambiance of a magical garden and the free-spirited nature of the city of San Francisco. In another city, Stow Lake would be manicured and proper like Disneyland, but being very San Franciscan, Stow Lake looks and feels more like someone’s wildly-inspired cousin – beautiful, rustic, natural and unruly – making it an ideal setting for a romantic occasion.
The boathouse has a charming simplicity with its painted white wood planks, and offers boat rentals, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn during daily business hours. After hours, it becomes a wonderfully romantic setting where Beyond the Fog can arrange a special dinner preceded by an early evening boat ride. We also handle all the decorations in order to make your experience a fantastically over-the-top first date, perfect proposal, or intimate birthday celebration!
