Was more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys!

I was honored to be invited on a members Sail at the San Francisco Maritime Museum.I am on the Board and as a Board Member and as a Member of the Museum one of the ways that the Maritime Museum says “Thank You” is to have a members sail, on the Alma.

The Alma was built in the late 1800’s and it’s purpose was to bring goods like Hay to San Francisco, Hay was used for horses and the horses were used as a delivery system. The Alma was a sail boat that was like a  FedX plane, it sailed all over picking up hay and other  lighter weight goods and delivered them, to the bay area mostly San Francisco it still sails today. The Alma is open to the public and Sails 3 to 4 times a week it leaves from Hyde Street Pier. It is one of the cool boats at the Maritime Museum.
